Hillsborough County Extension, the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association and the Florida Strawberry Festival invite everyone who’s looking for a deal on great plants to the 37th Annual Youth Plant Show and Sale. This event, which features plants ideal for Tampa Bay area landscapes, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, at the Strawberry Festival Fair Grounds in Plant City.
This is a great opportunity to purchase blue-ribbon quality plants grown by the students themselves. Landscape shrubs, trees, ground covers, flowering annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets and houseplants will be available. Items will be sold in both live and silent auctions. A Strawberry Festival ticket must be purchased to enter the fairgrounds, but there is no charge for admission to the auction.
Proceeds benefit youth from 4-H and the Future Farmers of America who have worked hard on growing their ornamental horticulture plants for this educational event.
