Center Place to Host Annual Arts Gala

Art lovers are invited to dress as their favorite rock stars and rock on to the 2012 Arts Gala, "Art Rocks," Saturday, April 28.

The 28th annual Center Place patron party, the fine and cultural arts center's major fundraiser, will take place at the TPepin Hospitality Centre, 4121 N. 50th St., Tampa, just north of Interstate 4.

This is a chance for residents to support the nonprofit arts center at 619 Vonderburg Rd., next to the Brandon Regional Library, which offers art classes and theater productions for both children and adults.

The cost for individuals to attend the arts gala is $100.

Memberships range from $250 for a one-year Bronze Membership to $1,000 for a one-year Friend of Center Place Membership that includes a table of eight, a half-page ad in the gala program, name on the sponsors' billboard at the event, preferred seating, entrance to the VIP reception and discounts on tickets and art workshops.

The evening will begin at 7 p.m. and include dinner, drinks, music, dancing, silent and live auctions and awards. Those who don't want to dress as their favorite rock star can wear casual concert attire to the event.

Reservations for the patron party are due by Friday, April 13.
