Valrico Rotarians Pig Out for a Good Cause

The Valrico Rotary Club is hosting Pig-a-Palooza Saturday, May 5, at Rotary's Camp Florida.

The Valrico Rotary Club will host its first Pig-a-Palooza on Saturday, May 5 to raise money for local charities.

For $25, guests will enjoy Southern-style smoked chicken and pork, including all of the fixings, drinks and beer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rotary's Camp Florida, 1915 Camp Florida Rd., off Lakewood Road.

Pig-a-Palooza also will feature a fully staffs kids' zone with a bounce house, dunk tank and games organized by the Boys & Girls Club of Brandon.

All tickets include admission for one child 12 and younger who brings a nonperishable food for the Emergency Care Help Organization.

The cost for children age 13 to 18 is $5. Active military, retired military with military ID and first responders pay $20, including a child up to age 16.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to ECHO, the Bill Cary Unit of the Boys & Girls Club in Brandon; Faces of Courage, for residents struggling with cancer; Rotary's Camp Florida, a special-needs camp; the LLT Academy Learning Fund; and Life Care of Brandon.
