The Main Event: Relay for Life Meeting

An informational meeting on the FishHawk Relay for Life event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at Sunset Bay Chapel, 6026 Churchside Drive, Lithia. The relay will be held March 25 at Newsome High School.

So far, 27 teams have signed on the participate in this year's event. At the relay, teams of people camp out at Newsome High School's track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to from 18 to 24 hours in length.

Cancer survivors are honored throughout the evening and at the kick-off ceremonies for the event.
