St. Andrew's Invites Youth Ministers to Get Creative

The Brandon church will host a Creative Ministry Festival Oct. 19-20.

Anyone with a secret ambition to be a ventriloquist, puppeteer or balloon animal artist might want to check out the upcoming Creative Ministry Festival to be hosted by the Children's Ministry of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 3315 Bryan Rd., Brandon, Oct. 19-20.

This Friday night and all-day Saturday event will feature workshops, performances, competitions and demonstrations for adults who lead children's ministries.

This is one of 32 regional Creative Ministry Festivals being organized by Creative Ministry Solutions of Englewood, Colo., across the nation.

Attendees may choose from beginning and advanced workshops for a variety of creative ministry topics including puppetry, ventriloquism, ballooning, gospel illusion, music, human video, sticks, hand mime, leadership and children's ministry. Topics vary by location and staffing.

Creative arts enthusiasts, children's ministry workers, puppet team directors, worship leaders, youth leaders, teachers and anyone else interested in ministry will learn to effectively use puppets and other creative ministry tools to advance the gospel.
