Rotary Club Seeks Vendors for Annual Fish Fry, Arts and Crafts Show

The 19th annual Denizens of the Deep will take place Nov. 3 at Rotary's Camp Florida in Brandon.

Once again the Brandon '86 Rotary Club will serve up a heap of Southern-fried fish, shrimp and hush puppies to hundreds of hungry residents during its annual Denizens of the Deep fish fry Saturday, Nov. 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rotary's Camp Florida, 1915 Camp Florida Rd., Brandon.

In preparation for the 19th annual event, the club is currently seeking food vendors and arts and crafts vendors to participate.

The cost is $75 per booth if registered and paid before Oct. 15 and $100 per booth after.

More than 1,500 residents attend Denizens of the Deep each year to enjoy more than half a ton of resh seafood along with families activities and live entertainment.

"Denizens of the Deep is a perfect opportunity to have a great time with family and friends, eat some great food, and support our worthy local charities in the process," said Rotary '86 board member Ron Shillady.

"It's all-you-can-eat of delicious fish, shrimp, hush puppies, sausage and more," said Shillady. "Beer, soft drinks, coffee and tea are included. While adults are enjoying the live music, children have games and events galore in the kid's area, including a two-story bouncy castle and separate bouncy slide, all under the watchful supervision of Brandon YMCA volunteers."

The cost is $20 per adult, $10 for children ages 13-18, and children 12 and under get in free with the donation of one can of food, per child, for ECHO. (In response to current economic difficulties, prices have been reduced from last year.)

Great food and fun with family and friends - Denizens of the Deep has become one of the "don't miss" events of the year and ranks as one of Brandon's largest charitable fundraisers. For more information and directions, please call (863) 670-0410.

All money raised goes to Brandon area charities.

Last year, local business sponsors, volunteers from recipient charities, Armwood and Durant high school Interact clubs, Boy Scout Troop 1986 and others pitched in to help raise more than $20,000.

All money raised at the event is dispersed to Brandon-area charities including Boy Scout Troop 1986, the Brandon ‘86 Endowment, Brandon Outreach Clinic, Cub Scout Pack 61, the Emergency Care Help Organization, Everyday Blessings, I Am Hope Cafe, the Interact Club, LifeCare of Brandon, Most Valuable Employee, New Horizons Group Home, Rotary’s Camp Florida and Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders scholarships.
