Pig-A-Palooza Declared a Success

More than 300 people turned out for the fundraiser May 5 at Rotary's Camp Florida.

More than 300 residents pigged out at the May 5 Pig-a-Palooza fundraiser hosted by the newly formed Rotary Club of Valrico at Rotary's Camp Florida in Brandon.

The event raised funds for Rotary's Camp Florida, the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO), the Bill Carey Unit Boys & Girls Club of Brandon, Faces of Courage, LLT Academy Learning Fund and LifeCare of Brandon.

The group meets Thursday evenings at Beef O' Brady's, 4330 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico, and has the 25 members necessary to get chartered. The application has been submitted and the charter is expected to be approved within the month.
