The Bloomingdale-Riverview Patch was founded almost three years ago under the extremely capable hands and talents of charter local editor D’Ann White.
After becoming a community editor for the Tampa Bay region of Patch publications, White turned over the day-to-day operations of this site to myself, Linda Chion Kenney, the founding editor of Brandon Patch. A restructuring has caused local editors to move on, starting in August and ending today, Oct. 15.
It has been a pleasure to serve our communities in our role as Patch editors. The sites will continue to be in operation, as platforms for community members to continue posting their news and events.
For those of you who know D’Ann White, and of her work over the many, many years as a community journalist, join me in remembering: She did one amazing job covering your town and community, and she did so with heart and passion and extreme talent and poise.
To my fellow Patchers here and nationwide, we gave it a good run. Good luck in your ventures ahead and never forget why it matters most.
