Music Showcase to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Patient

The store is seeking nominations for recipients.

During September, Music Showcase at 402 Oakfield Dr., Brandon, is accepting nominations of current breast cancer patients to receive the proceeds of funds raised during Music Showcase's October Breast Cancer Awareness fundraisers. 

Nominees must be local breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment. The drawing for the recipient will be held Sunday, Sept. 30.   Nomination forms are located on Music Showcase's website or at the Music Showcase ELITE Center desk. The recipient’s name will then be posted online and at Music Showcase.

Last year, Music Showcase donated services and monies funds totaling more than $1,000 to Shelly Ellis. This year, Music Showcase is hoping to raise even more money. Some of the fundraisers include selling pink ribbons and pink cupcakes. The store also is looking for people who can donate services like lawn maintenance or cleaning.

Another fundraiser is going to be a Kids Fall Festival on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Music Showcase. Admission is free but, for a small fee, kids can play games and activities and enjoy music and food. Then, that night, parents can enjoy a night out without the kids at a costume Halloween party from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance sold at Music Showcase and $15 at the door. There will be food and music and l spooktacular fun.
