Lithia Author Releases Children's Easter Book

Illustrator and author Jodi Stone discusses her newest book.

Just in time for Easter, Lithia author and illustrator Jodi Stone has released her latest children's book, An Easter Bonnet for Lily.

Suitable for children age 4 to 8, the book is a follow-up to her book, Savannah's Story.

"In this book, as in every book I have created, there are three young sisters," said Stone, herself the mother of three daughters, Brooke, Alexis and Savannah.

Savannah is the youngest and feeling left out on one of her favorite holidays, Easter. In the land of Tulip, a young bunny is also trying to find her way, but finds it difficult to do anything as her long ears always seem to get in the way. When Savannah and the young bunny, Lily, meet, a new friendship is formed and lessons about life and family are learned.

Stone's writing career began when she was 22 years old and began composing poems for her husband who was deployed in the Navy.

When her first daughter turned 2 years old, she decided to write and illustrate a book about her daughter and her friends called Glass Slippers.

From then on, she wrote and illustrated stories for each daughter's birthday.

At the urging of friends and family, she began to publish her stories.

Stone has now published seven children’s books and is releasing two more books this year.

An Easter Bonnet for Lily is available on Amazon and soon will be in Barnes & Noble bookstores.
