The church holds services at Valrico Academy on Boyette Road.

On Sunday, Oct., LifeSpring Church hosted a Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the official launch of its services.

The ribbon cutting was held at 13306 Boyette Rd., Riverview, and lunch was served afterwards.

The new church, headed by FishHawk Ranch residents Nate and Andrea DeWard, began hosting Sunday services at the charter school in August.

"We don't have barriers and we don't want labels to become an obstacle to attending church," said DeWard. "We believe Jesus commanded us to go find followers and teach them to obey His teachings, including His great commission -- to love God above all else and to love your neighbor."

Services are held at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
