Jeremy Rosado Makes the Cut on 'American Idol'

The Idol judges were as impressed with his personality as they were with his singing.

As Jeremy Rosado sang "I Know You Won’t" by Carrie Underwood, "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez showed fellow judge Steven Tyler the goosebumps that had appeared on her arm during Rosado's soulful rendition.

The Idol judges were visibly impressed by the Valrico resident's performance during Season 11 of the "American Idol" competition, giving him a standing ovation.

"When you sang, it was transcendental," Lopez told Rosado on tonight's show. "There’s no way we wouldn’t want you in the top 24 this year."

The judges were equally impressed by the 19-year-old Durant High School graduate's spirit of camaraderie. Lopez said she watched Rosado during the performances of fellow artists and noted how he stood and enthusiastically applauded.

"I can tell you're also a very nice guy," she said.

Rosado's immediate family was in Hollywood for his big moment.

However, his aunt, Sara Leffler, watched from her home in Riverview.

"I'm ecstatic and extremely proud of how he did," she said.
