Green Market Opens for Season Friday

Free birthday cake and hourly raffles usher in the ninth Dunedin Green Market season Friday morning, according to a news release. It is held on Fridays and Saturdays in Pioneer Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free birthday cake and hourly raffles usher in the ninth Dunedin Green Market season Friday morning, according to a news release from organizer Richard Kendler.

The popular weekly downtown market features vendors with organic produce, cheeses, artisan breads, plants, local honey, seafood, and more.

It is held on Fridays and Saturdays in Pioneer Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through April. Hours change to 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from May through July.

Live entertainment starts at 10:30 a.m.

I came home to a boat load of great looking vegi's and stuff my wife picked up at the green market! What a great event, I wish it was open year round!
