Get Out: Weekend Events Preview Nov. 4-5

The weekend is almost here it's time to start getting some ideas of what to do with your days off.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

FALL MUSICAL

What/Where: Spoto High School's theater and chorus groups are staging their fall musical Thursday and Friday night.

Why Go:The theme of this year's production is Back to the '80s and will include music by Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, "Footloose" and more. The production begins at 7 p.m. For more information, visit spototheatre.org.

What/Where: FishHawk Brews and Spirits is offering free Friday live band concerts starting at 8 p.m. at 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia, on the second floor of the Park Square building in FishHawk Ranch. For more information, call 813-662-4844.

What/Where: Boyette Springs will host its annual community yard sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Homeowners are urged to clean out their garages and closets and set up shop on their driveways. The Boyette Springs Homeowners Association will have signs posted at all five entrances to the subdivision.

What/Where: , 4334 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico, hosts a monthly car show the first Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant.

Why Go: Residents are encouraged to show off their cars and vie for trophy prizes.

"We have first, second and third place trophies we give out," owner Al Carapella said. "The show is a small family event, and we have a DJ so it's a lot of fun. My brother and I are car lovers, and over the last year we've been able to turn it in to a nice event with a good variety of cars, from Lamborghinis to classic American cars."
