What/Where: Bloomingdale and Newsome's high school football rivalry heats up on Friday night at Bloomingdale with the two teams looking to end their season's on a high note.

Why Go: The game promises to be a heated contest as players from the two teams have been playing with or against each other since the youth levels. The winner takes more than bragging rights, however. If the Wolves win, they will finish the year with a winning record of 6-4, but if the Bulls win, they will boast the same 5-5 record as Newsome.

Last season, Newsome won 56-16 over a Bloomingdale team that had yet to fill its potential under coach John Booth, but this season, the Bulls will look to avenge that embarrassment with their powerful new offense. Neither team will be playing postseason football, so this is the last taste of the gridiron for the two schools in 2011.

"It's a rivalry game and a lot of our kids know their kids, they grew up together," Booth said. "We want to win that game and we want to finish with the best record possible. Finishing 5-5 is not what we want to hang our hats on, but it's something that we can build on and set a standard by."

What/Where: The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Mounted Posse will host an all-day horse show on Saturday at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, 4810 State Road 60, Dover.
