An arts, car and talent show are on tap for residents looking for something to do this weekend.

WHERE/WHEN: The Tampa Bay area will show its support for "American Idol" contestant Jeremy Rosado March 24 from 6 to 11 p.m. at , 9847 E. Adamo Dr., Tampa.

WHY GO: Rosado, a Valrico resident and Durant High School graduate, was a top 13 finalist on the show. He will perform at the March 24 event, which also will feature barbecue, a bounce house, snow cones, kettle corn and face painting. The radio station 98.7’s morning show, "That Guy Kramer," and his crew will be on site to support "JerBear" as will the Apollo Beach band, Soul Circus Cowboys.

WHERE/WHEN: More than 35 churches and 11 agencies throughout the area will join forces this weekend to follow the Biblical mandate to feed the hungry in the sixth annual Feed the Bay event.

WHY GO: During the event on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, residents of Brandon, Bloomingdale, Valrico, Riverview and Lithia are urged to fill their shopping carts with food items for the hungry and drop off the bags of groceries at trucks stationed near local Publix and Sweetbay grocery stores.

WHERE/WHEN: The 2012 Bloomingdale Rajun Bull Marching Band Auction will take place Saturday, March 24. The preview will begin at 2 p.m. with the auction starting at 3 p.m.

WHY GO: A professional auctioneer will auction off hundreds of items including gift baskets, sports memorabilia, hotel stays, gift cards and more. Refreshments will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the Bloomingdale High School Rajun Bull Marching Band.

WHERE/WHEN: On Saturday, March 24 St. Stephen Catholic School will host its first from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In an effort to raise funds for the technology program, the school at 10424 Saint Stephen Circle, Riverview, off Boyette Road, is hosting a car and vendor show featuring classic, new and novelty cars and trucks, food vendors, a flea market, food booths along with face painting, bouncy houses and games for kids.

WHY GO: There also will be a guest appearance and rides on the Monster School Bus from Mike's Tires and Wheels in Plant City. Food vendors include Buffalo Wild Wings, Kona Ice, , plus two school families serving up empanadas and Cuban sandwiches. The event also will feature a flea market and vendors selling everything from fruit and boiled peanuts to candles and cupcakes. The school will sell hot dogs, drinks and chips and the Parent-Teacher Community Organization will be on hand with desserts

WHERE/WHEN: More than 50 fine artists from around the country and Tampa Bay will display their sculptures, paintings, weavings, baskets, glass art, pottery and other works of art during the fourth annual scheduled for March 24-25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Winthrop Town Centre.

WHY GO: In addition to fine art work, art lovers will be treated to the food of the Tampa food trucks. Martinez said several of the popular food trucks will be on site both days of the festival. There will be some craft booths, business vendors and nonprofit groups providing information about their groups. A children's section featuring crafts for kids will be manned by Hillsborough Community College students. Children will have an opportunity to create T-shirts during the event.

WHERE/WHEN: The Bloomingdale Regional Library at 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, will host a Teen Talent Show Saturday, March 26 at noon.

WHY GO: Prizes include $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. Prizes will be give in both middle school and high school divisions.  There is a limit of 20 acts permitted. The winners from each library branch will compete in the grand finale Saturday, April 9 at the John F. Germany Library in Tampa.
