A home show, an RV show and a car show are all on tap this weekend.

FLORIDA'S LARGEST HOME SHOW

WHERE/WHEN: "Florida's Largest Home Show" comes to the Expo Hall of the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa, March 16-18. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

WHY GO: The show will feature more than 800 exhibits of products and services to customize the home inside and out. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and it is free for children age 12 and younger. There is a $5 parking fee for cars. Visitors are asked to use the U.S. 301 entrance. SPRING RV SHOW

WHERE/WHEN: The Tampa Bay Spring RV Show will take place Thursday through Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

WHY GO: There will be motor homes, travel trailers, folding tent campers and fifth wheels on display along with financing and insurance representatives. Admission is $4; children 16 and younger are admitted for free. Visitors are asked to use the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance.

STREET FEST

WHERE/WHEN: Street Fest will take place Sunday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brandon Crossroads Bowl, 609 Crater Ln., Tampa.

WHY GO: There will be custom cars, trucks and motorcycles on display along with a kids corner with games and prizes, drawings, vendors, food and two disc jockeys playing music throughout the day. The event will help raised funds for the Special Olympics. Call 813-943-8535.

WHERE/WHEN: Super Science Saturday will take place Saturday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico.

WHY GO: The library turns into a science lab in this interactive, hands-on science learning event for children in grades kindergarten through five and their families. The free program is funded by the Friends of the Bloomingdale Regional Library.

WHERE/WHEN: St. Stephen Catholic Church will host a Lenten Fish Fry March 16 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the church, 5049 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico.

WHY GO: St. Stephen is offering fish, shrimp, fries and cole slaw (cheese pizza for the kids) each Friday during Lent. Drive-through is available. Call 813-689-4900.

WHERE/WHEN: The Tampa Bay Walk to Defeat ALS will take place Saturday, March 17 at 9:30 a.m. at the University of South Florida, 4202 Fowler Ave., Tampa.

WHY GO: Wheelchair-bound patients along with their families and friends will make a 2-mile trek in the Walk to Defeat ALS, hoping their steps will make a difference for ALS patients living in the Tampa Bay area. For information, call 888-257-1717 or visit www.WalktoDefeatALS. org.

WHERE/WHEN: Newborns in Need, Central West Florida Chapter in Valrico, a nonprofit organization, meets the third Saturday monthly  from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico,

WHY GO: Volunteers are invited to knit, crochet, sew or quilt baby items for premature babies for the economically disadvantaged.
