Chabad of Brandon Classes

Beginning Oct. 25, Rabbi Mendel Rubashkin, director of Chabad of Brandon, will lead three different classes, each meeting weekly, to inspire and guide participants through life’s challenges. Each program meets every week and offers a weekly dose of uplifting Jewish study. These special programs are open to all Jews – no membership or affiliation required; beginners are welcome.

Participants are encouraged to attend any of the offerings on a weekly basis, but may also attend as their schedule allows. Classes are held at the Chabad Jewish Center, 3005 Waylon Lane, Valrico.

1. Torah Studies: A Weekly Journey into the Soul of Torah, Tuesdays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 25.

It includes lessons that probe into the depths of contemporary Torah thought, with a focus on issues surrounding spirituality, the human psyche, love and relationships. Every experience offers meaningful and timely lessons, from the most timeless of texts - the Torah. The lessons are developed by the world renowned Jewish Learning Institute.

2.  Lunchbreak Learning Wednesdays from noon to 12:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 26.

Take a midday break from the hustle and bustle that is our lives and dive into the world of Torah in search of life lessons and inspiration.

This program is available in person, online or by phone

3.  Talmud will be offered Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 27.

The Talmud is a repository of thousands of years of Jewish wisdom. It's two and a half million words consisting of law, legend and philosophy. A blend of unique logic, shrewd  pragmatism, history, anecdotes and humor. No prior Talmud knowledge or Hebrew reading is necessary.

Chabad of Brandon’s mission is to educate, inspire and help increase Jewish knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment through outreach, education, services and social programs.
