ECHO to Host Empty Bowls Event

The fundraiser will take place Saturday, March 9 at the Winthrop Pole Barn.

Soup's on for the hundreds of residents expected to attend the first Empty Bowls event Saturday, March 9.

For $15, attendees will be able to sample soups from a variety of local restaurants to raise funds for the Brandon Emergency Care Help Organization, a nonprofit that provides food and clothing to residents facing emergency needs.

In keeping with the theme of the event, the soup will be accompanied by bread and water.
