ECHO to Host Annual Children's Fashion Show

This year's event will be held at The Bridges Banquet Hall in Riverview.

Calling all young fashionistas. The Emergency Care Help Organization in Brandon needs your help.

ECHO, the nonprofit that provides food and clothing to needy residents in the community, is seeking children ages 5 to 18 years old to model in the annual Darlings & Dessert Kids Helping Kids Fashion Show scheduled for Oct. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Bridges Banquet Hall, 11202 Dewhurst Drive, Riverview.

Participants are asked to obtain sponsorships of at least $100 to model outfits during a fashion show featuring just kids.

This year Kohl's is providing the fashions.

Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase clothing, shoes, personal hygiene products, diapers, formula and food for the nonprofit agency.

Each year ECHO provides emergency food and clothing to more than 10,000 residents, half of which are children.

One lucky model raising the most money will be crowned Miss/Mr. ECHO 2011 and will ride in next year's Fourth of July parade in Brandon. Last year's winner was Kaitlyn Fuson, who raised $849.

Space is limited. Kids 10 and up will model two outfits. Models can register online at www.echofl.org or by calling 813-685-0935.
