Community Roundtable Seeks Parade Participants

The roundtable is seeking floats, marching bands, military units and other participants in the annual Fourth of July Parade.

The Community Roundtable of Greater Brandon is seeking floats, marching bands, military units, antique cars and other participants for the 2011 Fourth of July Parade scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 4.

After trying an afternoon parade on Oakfield Drive, this year's parade returns to its morning hour on its original route starting at the intersection of Parsons Avenue and Lumsden Road. The parade will proceed up Parsons to Robertson Street where it will head west, ending at the Publix shopping center off Buckingham Place.

"Your participation is this event continues the meaningful tradition for Brandon residents, especially the students," said this year's chairwoman Marie Cain.
