“We feel it’s important to show support for our community, and the annual GFWC Brandon Service League's Holiday Home Tour is a great way to do that. Not only does the tour raise money for area charities, but it’s also a lot of fun” said Brenda Martin of Martin’s Jewelers.

The Martin family has owned and operated the Brandon area jewelry store for more than 58 years.

The GFWC Brandon Service League began the Holiday Home Tour in 1993 with one home. Since that time the tour has grown to include three unique homes, all beautifully trimmed in holiday decorations to help kick off the season.

The tour is the major fundraiser for the club and has become one of the premier events of the holiday season in Brandon. Proceeds from the tour benefit numerous local Brandon charities including: A Kid’s Place, the Emergency Care Help Organization, New Horizon Group Homes and the Brandon Area Boys and Girls Club, to name a few. The event is widely publicized and supported by area businesses, churches and community organizations.

BSL is still accepting sponsorships for the event. If you or your company or organization is interested in becoming a sponsor for the GFWC Brandon Service League 20th Anniversary Holiday Home Tour, or if you are interested in having your home considered as a part of the tour, contact BSL second vice president, Diane Burnett, at dburnett4@tampabay.rr.com or 813-263-6223.

The GFWC Brandon Service League is an active member of the International General Federation of Woman’s Clubs for more than 50 years.

The club is currently accepting new members. Email the membership chairwoman at bslmembership@gmail.com for details.
