Bloomingdale Homeowner's Association Seeks Board Members

The BHA is looking for residents who want to make a difference in their community.

Do you live in Bloomingdale and would like to get more involved in your community? Here's your chance.

The Bloomingdale Homeowner's Association has board positions open and is looking for individuals who would like to get involved and make a difference. The board works with the community, community organizations and residents on issues and concerns, community improvement projects and activities for the community.

Meeting are held the first Tuesday of the month in January, March, May, September and November at 7 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Recreation Center, 3940 Canoga Park Drive, Brandon. The next meeting is Sept. 4.

The Bloomingdale community, first developed 30 years ago, is currently the largest neighborhood in Tampa Bay, comprised of more than 40 neighborhoods and approximately 5,000 homes. The BHA, a nonprofit volunteer organization, was founded in August 1980 during the early development of the community.

A recent community survey found close to 90 percent of respondents felt the BHA is a valuable asset and makes a positive difference in Bloomingdale. Through the voluntary membership and support of Bloomingdale residents, the BHA provides leadership for the community and works to maintain and improve the quality of life that attracted residents to Bloomingdale.
