Award-Winning Author to Speak at Riverview Library

National Library Week concludes tomorrow, April 20, with an opportunity to meet and greet Roy, the 2012 Edgar Allen Poe’s Best First Novel award recipient.

Born and raised in Kansas, Roy graduated from Kansas State University and now lives in west-central Florida.

Her debut novel, Bent Road, not only won the Edgar Allen Poe award but was named a 2011 New York Times Notable Crime Book and was nominated for the Book-of-the-Month Club First Fiction Award. It has been optioned for a film by Cross Creek.

Her second novel, Until She Comes Home, will be published in June.

She will visit the Riverview Branch Library, 10509 Riverview Dr., Riverview, at 2 p.m. to discuss both of her novels, Bent Road and Until She Comes Home. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow the presentation.
