5 Things to Know Today, Sept. 9

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Enjoy a free breakfast, courtesy of Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A is treating customers to breakfast this week at its restaurants nationwide. Beginning today, Chick-fil-A patrons can visit www.chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com to reserve the free Chick-fil-A breakfast entrée of their choice. Reservations may be redeemed until Sept. 10 during breakfast hours (6:30 to 10:30 a.m.) at the selected restaurant by presenting a printed copy of the personal invitation received upon making a reservation on the website. The offer is limited to one free breakfast entrée per customer, per restaurant.

Local restaurants include the Westfield Brandon mall, 519 Brandon Town Center Mall; Lake Brandon Village, 11325 Causeway Blvd., Brandon; and the Valrico restaurant, 1504 E. Brandon Blvd.

2. Attention local teachers, here's something to put on your calendar. Every Monday in September, Starbucks will offer teachers a free cup of coffee. It's part of the coffee chain's "Teacher Appreciation" promotion. You can stop by and get a free cup of coffee on your way to school every Monday until 9 a.m. through Sept. 26 at Starbucks at 3482 Lithia-Pinecrest Road, Valrico; 1265 E. Brandon Blvd., Valrico; 6042 Winthrop Town Centre Ave., Riverview; 11029 Causeway Blvd., Brandon; and Westfield Brandon mall.

3. Don't forget to drop by the fourth annual Gallery Hop from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight. There are 12 venues offering art, demonstrations and hands-on activities.

4. AJ's Fine Wine & Liquors, 3443 Lithia-Pinecrest Road, Valrico, will host a tasting of Sonoma Cutrer wines and Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey liqueur Friday, Sept. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m.

5. The Republican Club of FishHawk will host a movie night Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Beef O' Brady's, 4330 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico. The club will show "Agenda Grinding America Down."
