1. It's National Coffee Day.

Drop on by McDonald's today for a free 12-ounce premium-roast coffee. The complimentary cup of joe is available from 5 a.m. to midnight at any of the 187 restaurants in the greater Tampa Bay area including the McDonald's restaurants at , and

2. Don't forget to visit the Beaux Arts Gallery, 11252 Winthrop Main St., Winthrop Town Centre, Riverview, between 7 and 9 p.m. for Thursday Nights Live, featuring the works of the Rev. 3. An AARP driver safety class will be held Thursday, Sept. 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Bridges retirement community, 11202 Dewhurst Drive, Riverview. The cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for nonmembers. To register, call Pat Manack at 813-653-7249.

4. Brandon Regional Hospital hosts a gestational diabetes class for for pregnant women every Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Oakfield Medical Center, Classroom C, Suite 258, across from Brandon Regional Hospital. The program includes: medical nutrition therapy; monitoring - use of meter; insulin therapy; exercise guidelines; and overall health. A support person is encouraged to attend. The patient may bring a snack and is requested to bring the glucose meter she will be using. No prescription or referral is needed. For reservations, call (813) 653-1065.

5. A free adult computer class takes place Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico. Registration in person is required no earlier than an hour before the program.
