5 Things to Know Today, Sept. 28: A Rosh Hashanah Dinner and More

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. FishHawk Fellowship Church offers a weekly seminar and support group for those who are separated or divorced Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Room B-104 at the church, 15326 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia.

2. Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the Summerfield Community Center, 13011 Summerfield Blvd., Riverview. The annual fee is $24. Weigh-in is at 6 p.m. Call 813-671-2005.

3. Drop by the Bloomingdale Regional Library today at 10:30 a.m. for Toddler Time. Stories, fingerplays, songs and interactive activities make up this fun 20-minute program that highlights early literacy skills and encourages reading readiness. Seating is limited to 20 children ages 18 to 36 months.

4. An Al-Anon support group meets Wednesdays from 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church, 604 N. Valrico Road, Valrico.

5. Chabad of Brandon, 3005 Waylon Lane, Valrico, will host a Rosh-Hashanah dinner Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

At the dinner, members will gather as a community to welcome in the new year. The evening will begin with a brief Rosh-Hashanah evening service followed by a three-course dinner.
