Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.
1. Interested in becoming a children's author.The Writers of Children's Literature Critique Group is open to authors of all skill levels, with an interest in writing books for kids. Join the group today at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers for an open discussion on children's literature and share your recent work with other aspiring and professional authors. The club meets select Tuesdays at Barnes & Noble.
2. Here's an opportunity for anyone wishing to trace a family tree. Ask A Genealogist, advice on tracing your family's history, is offered Tuesdays at 4 p.m. at the Bloomingdale Regional Library. Call (813) 273-3652, Ext. 2.

4. The Knit Wit knitting club meets weekdays at 10 a.m. at the Campo Family YMCA, 3414 Culbreath Road, Valrico.

St. Stephen Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, will host a Beginning Apologetics 1 Study Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 A.M. through Oct 25 at the ROC Center on the church property to help Catholics answer questions about their faith.
