5 Things to Know Today, Oct. 12: Parenting Classes and More

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Hillsborough County will host a Parenting Class for Divorce Oct. 12, 26, Nov. 9, 30 and Dec. 7 at the Hillsborough County Extension Service, 5339 CR 579 in Seffner.

Hillsborough County Extension is offering classes for those who are going through a divorce and have children. The four-hour course is required by the State of Florida when a child is involved in the divorce or custody process.

2. The Roundtable Charities of Greater Brandon, more commonly known as the Community Roundtable and formerly known as the Presidents' Roundtable, is one of Brandon's oldest civic organizations. Founded to assist Greater Brandon charities in their respective missions, the group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. and is open to commerce and community representatives and residents seeking to help local charities and non-profit organizations.

3. The Brandon Regional Library, 619 Vonderburg Drive, Brandon, will offer information on government services and job resources Mondays and Wednesdays at 3 p.m.

4. Head on over to VFW 8018, 7504 Riverview Dr, Riverview, at 5 p.m. for a hearty, all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner. This event occurs every Wednesday.

5. Park Square Cellar, 16132 Churchview Dr., Lithia, will host a Krupp Brothers wine dinner Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. for Park Square Cellars members. Enjoy a five-course meal paired with five Krupp wines for $75 per person. Reservations are required. Call 813-689-4560.
