5 Things to Know Today, Nov. 16: Art and Theater

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Be sure to drop by Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Dr., Valrico, to see the exhibit of work by Lithia artist Anne Drewry. Drewry demonstrates her diversity in a series of works that include paintings, collage elements, stamping, embossing and photo transfers.

2. Also at Center Place, Stages Productions will present "Mother Goose-A Pocketful of Rhymes" for children in kindergarten through third grade at 10:15 a.m. The production includes timeless rhymes and verses.

3. For seniors interested in exploring their artistic sides, the Campo Family YMCA, 3414 Culbreath Rd., Valrico, offers a free senior art class at 11 a.m.

4. A bake sale fundraiser to benefit the Trust Fund for Journey Lenegar will take place today at 11 a.m. at Beef O' Brady's in Summerfield, 13326 Lincoln Rd., Riverview. Journey Lenegar is the young daughter of Josh Lenegar who died Oct. 31.

5. St. Andrew's United Methodist Church will host its Wednesday Connection, featuring dinner at 5:30 p.m., classes and children's music at 6:30 p.m. and classes and prayer groups at 7 p.m. A kid-friendly meal is available. Reservations are needed. Call the church office at (813) 689-6849.
