5 Things to Know Today, June 4

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1.  "Jekyll & Hyde" will be presented June 4 at 2 p.m. at The Regent, 6437 Watson Road.  The Florida Academy of Performing Arts, through special arrangements with Music Theatre International, will present "Jekyll & Hyde," the tale of the classic battle between good and evil. "Jekyll & Hyde" is based on the story by Robert Louis Stevenson. Under the direction of Miguel Oquendo, the Showcase Players, a beginning musical theatre class for teens ages 13 and up, will present 10 performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 3-5 and June 10-12. Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for students, seniors and military.

2. Come out to the corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road on Saturday, June 4, as the Little Shops of Winthrop Town Centre hold their fourth Ladies Night Out gathering from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

There will be complimentary food and wine provided by vendors who also will be present. Lady Chameleon Accessories Boutique, Royalty X Thr33 Boutique and Bellafia Chocolate Boutique began hosting Ladies Night in March as a way to showcase their unique stores in the Bloomingdale area.

3. The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary of Post 44, 318 Pauls Drive, Brandon, will host its final yard sale Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everything must go. Auxiliary members thank the community for the support given over the past 12 years. They will no longer accept donations. All proceeds will go to the post's building fund. 4. The Brandon Family Support Center, 1277 Kingsway Road, Brandon, will host a free Men's Health Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Call 813-740-4634 or visit www.familysupport.org.

5. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 75 provides free, no-obligation vessel safety inspections for recreational boaters. These inspections take about 15 minutes and are available at E.G. Simmons Park in Ruskin on the first and third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Williams Park in Gibsonton the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
