5 Things to Know Today, June 23

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Cami Gibertini, a candidate for honorary mayor of Brandon, will host Cami's Clay Shoot Thursday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at FishHawk Sporting Clays, 13505 Hobson Simmons Road, Lithia. The cost of $100 includes lunch.

2. Barbara Schwabe, also a candidate for honorary mayor of Brandon, will present a fundraising event, Bunco for the Arts, Thursday, June 23 at 6 p.m. at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Drive, Brandon. There will be bunco play with prizes, refreshments and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $15.

3. Tiny Dancers, for children age 2, meets Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and from 2:15 to 3 p.m. at the Campo Family YMCA, 3414 Culbreath Road, Valrico. A Level 2 class meets Wednesdays from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $30 for facility members, $45 for program members. Call 813-684-1371.

4. The Regent, 6437 Watson Rd, Riverview, will hold its first quarterly meeting tonight from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Brandon Community Advantage Center Board will be on hand to answer questions about the cost of the facility and its purpose.

5.  The Hillsborough County Anti-Bullying Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at the Florida Department of Children and Families, Suncoast Region, 9393 N. Florida Ave. in Tampa. The Anti-Bullying Advisory Committee was created by the Board of County Commissioners' Resolution Number R09-100.  The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and  recommendations to curb and eliminate all forms of bullying throughout Hillsborough County.
