Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Bloomingdale Pizza, 4334 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, will host a monthly car show the first Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant. Residents are encouraged to show off their cars and vie for trophy prizes.

2. Terrence Betts Project will perform live jazz and blues at Park Square Cellar, 16132 Churchview Drive, Lithia, July 2 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

3. Visit Bikeworks of Brandon at 6048 Winthrop Town Centre Ave., Riverview, July 2 to help celebrate the grand opening of the business and to kick off the Tour de France 2011.

The store will have sales and raffles for a Radio Shack Team kit as well as refreshments.

4. The Soul Circus Cowboys will perform country rock at Upstairs, 16144 Churchview Drive in Park Square July 2 from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

5. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 75 provides free, no-obligation vessel safety inspections for recreational boaters. These inspections take about 15 minutes and are available at E.G. Simmons Park in Ruskin on the first and third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Williams Park in Gibsonton the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
