5 Things to Know Today, July 18

1. Smart Start Your Business takes place July 19 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, 330 Pauls Drive, Brandon. This workshop will provide attendees general information on mandatory licenses, legal entities, zoning issues, marketing, grant availability and financing options. 2. A scrabble club meets Tuesdays from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Davis Park Senior Center, 612 N. Parsons Ave., Brandon. Participants should bring their own games.

4. Overeaters Anonymous meets Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. at Apostles Lutheran Church's Garden Room, 200 Kingsway Road, Brandon.

5. The Valrico/South Brandon Christian Business Connections meets on Tuesdays from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Recipe Box at 147 E. Bloomingdale Ave, Brandon.
