Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Grab that umbrella. Weather.com is predicting a 40 percent chance of rain in the Bloomingdale Patch area.

2. Community Bank in Riverview, 10109 U.S. 301 S., Riverview, will host Developing a Business Plan for Success Aug. 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce has announced a new partnership with Community Bank in Riverview and Estrada Strategies to provide a series of business owner strategic business-building events. 

The new alliance will offer the first in this event series on Monday, Aug. 29, with professional business coach Alex Miranda of Estrada Strategies.

This event is focused on the owners of local businesses and will offer real-world, immediately relevant ideas to help growth and build a thriving business right now.  

All are welcome. There is no charge. Seating is limited; RSVP requested.  

3. The Republican Club of FishHawk will meet Monday, Aug. 29 at Beef O' Brady's, 4330 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico. A social time starts at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:45 p.m.

After the meeting, from 8 to 8:45 p.m., there will be a Lessons in Liberty class based on the book, "The Fire of Opportunity: Private Property and the Spirit of Enterprise."

4. The St. Stephen Career Transition Ministry offers career aptitude counseling and support for those who are out of work each Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic School, 10424 St. Stephen Circle, Riverview.

5. Tampa’s public input meeting on the redistricting of House, Senate and Congressional district boundaries takes place Aug. 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jefferson High School Auditorium, 4401 Cypress St., Tampa.
