Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Do you have a Revolutionary War hero in your family? Then the DAR wants you. The Brandon chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the , 1906 Bloomingdale Ave.

2. 3414 Culbreath Road, Valrico, will host a belly dancing class for kids age 7 to 12 Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. This is a low-impact cardio workout that tones and conditions the body. 3. Here's a club for photography enthusiasts. The Brandon-Riverview Photography Club meets the first Thursday of the month at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 122 Brandon Town Center Drive. The group is for photographers of various skills who wish to share their pastime with others. The group also hosts outdoor weekend photography trips.

4. The FishHawk/Boyette/Lithia Area Business Council meets the first Thursday of the month at noon at the Palmetto Club, 17004 Dorman Road, Lithia. For information, contact the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce at 813-689-1221.
