5 Things to Know Today, April 12

Here's some things you might want to know as you go about your day.

1. Feeling a bit stressed out? The Women's Resource Center will host a free Stress Buster's Workshop led by Ilene Stubbs Tuesday, April 12 at 10 a.m. Learn to live within limits in all areas of life including timewise, physically and spiritually. The workshop will teach stress-buster techniques. The free workshop will take place at the Women's Resource Center, 1017 N. Kingsway Road, Brandon.

2. The All Children's Hospital Guild Brandon Branch will be at the Lake Brandon Village Chick-fil-A Family Night on Tuesday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. Come "eet sum chikn" and take a chance at opening an egg that has a ticket to the All Children's Bunny Brunch EggStravaganza on Saturday, April 16.

3. Plan ahead for dinner. There will be an Italian-style buffet dinner with a cash bar Thursday, April 14 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Buca di Beppo, 11105 Causeway Blvd., Brandon, for $30 a person.

4. Former Florida chief financial officer and 2010 gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink, D-Thonotosassa, will be the guest speaker at the East Hillsborough Democratic Club Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Giordano's Restaurant, 11310 Causeway Blvd., Brandon. She will address redistricting under the newly enacted fair districts amendments to the Florida Constitution and how residents can make the districts truly represent all residents of Hillsborough County.
