5 Things to Know, Nov. 1: Sharks on Path to Volleyball Championship

Here are five things to keep in mind as you go about your day.

1. The Riverview high school Lady Sharks volleyball team will attempt to follow their district title with a state championship as they begin the state playoffs tonight against Lakeland. The Sharks will play at home, with the match starting at 7 p.m.

2. The Knit Wit knitting club meets Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at the Campo Family YMCA, 3414 Culbreath Road, Valrico. There is no charge to attend this event.

3. , 161 E. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon, will host a Mommy and Me Class for moms and children who turn age 2 by Sept. 1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30=11:15 a.m. and 12:30-1:15 p.m. The children are introduced to listening, memorization, music and coordination.

4. The River Hills Country Club Women's Golf Association is seeking arts and crafts vendors for its Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair to be held Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the River Hills County Club, 3943 New River Hills Parkway, Valrico. 5. Story Time is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at the , 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico. There is no charge for the event which is open to ages 3-5. There is a seating limit of 20 children plus their parent/caregivers.
