Spring Hills Hunter's Creek Meets 100% Compliance & Receives “Deficiency Free Survey” From The Florida Agency For Health Care Administration

The Florida Assisted Living Association, which promotes excellence in senior care, recognizes Hunter’s Creek as one of only four of its members in Central Florida  to achieve this accomplishment.

Spring Hills Hunters Creek Assisted Living was found to be in 100 percent compliance with state requirements on June 18, 2013 at the time of its most recent licensure survey, earning the industry-respected designation “deficiency free.” The Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) conducts this survey and scores senior care facilities based on a number of criteria including resident care and resident safety.  Measures of resident care include medication safety and storage, supervision of special diets and the activities calendar, while measures of resident safety include fire and disaster drill records for the past twelve months and ensuring appropriate locks on residents’ doors.

The Florida Assisted Living Association, which promotes excellence in senior care, notes that Hunter’s Creek is one of only four of its members in Central Florida to achieve this accomplishment. The deficiency free status of Spring Hills Hunters Creek indicates a strong commitment to providing quality senior care on the part of the administration and staff.

“We are dedicated to providing the best care for our residents, and this survey is just affirmation of the efforts that we take year-round to ensure the comfort and safety our residents.  We never just prepare for the survey – our community is in a constant state of readiness,” stated Karen Decker, Executive Director of Spring Hills Hunter’s Creek.

Residents are fully aware of the superior care that they are provided at Spring Hills Hunters Creek and fully understand the implications of a deficiency free survey.  “The care that I receive at Hunter’s Creek could not be better,” said resident Catherine Wilson. “It always feels like the community has very high standards of care, but it is nice to see the results of this survey to know that the activities behind the scenes echo what we see on the surface.”
