Newsome High School: Upcoming Events

Lithia- Award winning Newsome Chorus kicked off their 2013-2014 school year with Newsome Idol on September 24, 2013. Auditioned performers entertained the audience with a variety of tunes, and the audience chose a Newsome Idol by voting for their favorite performer. This event was a fundraiser for the school’s vocal music program. The proceeds went to help pay for music,registration fees, and transportation costs for several events and competitions throughout the year. 

The Fall Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15th beginning at 6:30pm in the Newsome Auditorium.  The Newsome Chorus will host an evening of spectacular performances, with special guests, Randall Middle School Chorus. Admission is free. Light concessions will be available. 

On the Radio, scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th, is an evening of performances by auditioned singers and the Newsome Chorus, featuring popular favorites heard “on the radio”. The concert begins at 6:30pm in the Newsome Auditorium. Admission is $5.00 to benefit Newsome Chorus programs, activities and competions. Light concessions will be available. 

Plans and rehearsals for Newsome Chamber Chorus’ annual Madrigal Dinner are well underway.
