Whether you’re just learning the game or an advanced player, visit your local Tennis Shop and talk to a professional.  Let him/her know  what you are looking for in a
racquet.  Ask questions, and if possible, demo the racquets. 

Companies will tell you the advantages of their particular brand, but when it comes down to it, it’s how the racquet feels in your hands, and in play, that matters.  Spend a little time on the court, enjoy and be sure to jot down the strengths and weaknesses of the racquet(s) you're hitting with.
