Hillsborough County Extension announces an opportunity for parents to learn the necessary skills to parent in today’s world. Parenting classes will be held at the county’s Extension office, 5339 CR 579 in Seffner on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Aug. 9, 16 and 23, Sept. 13, 20 and 27,  Oct. 4, 11, 18, Nov. 8, 15 and 22, and Dec. 6, 13 and 20. 
 
During the classes, parents can talk to other parents about successes and challenges, and find out how to make parenting a more positive experience for all.
 
The material covered will include: A balanced parenting style, enhancing your child’s self-esteem, effective discipline techniques and managing your stress.
