The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) trying to get into Hillsborough County Schools. If you live in Hillsborough County, Florida, you must prevent this from happening. You can do this by supporting Terry Kemple for School Board. He had his work cut out for himself on AM TAMPA BAY Thursday morning, taking on the incredibly smooth, master obfuscator, dissimulator, and polemicist, Hassan Shibly, Director of CAIR Tampa. This organization must not be permitted in our schools. Nor should Mr. Shibly if he is going to use the eloquence of his dictate as effectively as he is with the school board, to indoctrinate our children on Islam. If our kids are to learn about religion in our public schools, then it should be... continue reading here.

Frank, I think you've really hit on something here. It would be great for the kids to see and hear representatives from CAIR and the Society of St. Pius X. We should also invite some of Meir Kahane's boys from the Jewish Defense League to strive for full coverage of the issues. Each group hates the other two. It would set a splendid example of batcrap-crazy conflict resolution for the kids.
I can see it now. CAIR defending the crazies in the middle east and attacking the Christian crusaders and the Jewish occupiers; the Society of St Pius X justifying the crusades, denying the holocaust, attacking the Muslims; and, the Jewish Defense League threatening to blow you all up! People would pay good money to see this - a real laugh riot.
By the time the kids are done seeing this they'll realize that most alleged adults are idiots and the kids, at the very least will be agnostics, or possibly atheists.
Great idea, Frank!

Perhaps you missed the irony, George. No, I'm quite SURE you did. Jewish occupiers? Occupying what? Israel? JDL blowing stuff up? Do you REALLY think I want SSPX clergy teaching in our schools? In Hillsborough County it might ensure a decent education, but the point (only because, AGAIN, it seems you missed it, or did a good job pretending to) was an accurate teaching of history and world religions, which they will not get from CAIR. Your sarcasm was cute, with real bite.

Actually Frank I don't think I missed anything. I was just having some fun exploring the possibilities of a cage fight among some of the more extreme visions of the three Abrahamic religions. As far as what they're attacking and defending, it doesn't have to make sense - God says it's OK. I find great humor in the clash of the lack of civilization.
The "accurate" teaching of history is a tenuous endeavor at best, even recent history, and the possibility accuracy goes permanently out the window as soon as you interject religion into the mix.
And since I really don't have a dog in this fight, I like to just sit back and enjoy the show.

Okay, George. I get it. You don't have a dog in the fight, but fight you will. You're an interesting cat, on paper. What would be really entertaining would be to watch you respond to your own posts. I'm sure you could have one hell of an argument with yourself. Anyway, as odd as it may sound, "thanks" for engaging, even if I sense you're mostly into the "seagull treatment." Good exercise in patience for the rest of us. Cheers, Frank
