Supervisor of Elections Mails Out Voter Information Cards

All registered voters will receive new voter information cards.

News Report

Today, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin mailing out Voter Information Cards to all 695,000 registered Hillsborough County voters. The mailing will take approximately one week, with the last cards going out on June 27.

The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office is required to mail new voter information cards to all registered voters as part of the redistricting process, which included redrawing precinct lines to conform to new district boundaries.

The new cards will provide voters with their district and precinct numbers and polling places.

"With the Aug. 14 primary election rapidly approaching, it's important that voters take a good look at all of the information on their cards since there may be changes to their districts, precinct number and polling place," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. "If you vote on Election Day, you must vote in your polling place, so please be sure to check your new voter information cards and become familiar with where your polling place is located."

Election day voters are advised to bring photo and signature identification to the polls to avoid delays.

"The November ballot will be lengthy," said Lennard, "so I am encouraging voters to consider Vote By Mail - a secure and convenient way to cast your ballot from the comfort of your own home. Please go to our website or call the office to request your Vote By Mail ballot."

Voters who do not receive a new Voter Information Card by July 9 are encouraged to contact the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office at 813-744-5900. Voters can also check their registration status, find their polling place and request a Vote By Mail Ballot by visiting www.VoteHillsborough.org.
