Rosado Wins Rave Reviews from 'American Idol' Judges
Durant High School grad seeks community's vote.
Performing a Sara Bareillas song, 19-year-old Valrico resident Jeremy Rosado once again received rave reviews from "American Idol" judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson during tonight's episode.
The 12 male finalists performed live Feb. 28, to be followed by the 12 female contestants Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
"Jeremy, that was beautiful," Tyler told Rosado. "You couldn't have picked a better song."
"Some people are blessed by God," said Lopez. "You have such a beautiful voice."
"I was so impressed with the big, booming vocals," commented Jackson after Rosado's performance. "I love you, man."
But it's up to voters to determine if Rosado will continue on in the show. Tonight is the first time the public will have to vote on the contestants.
Voting is open for two hours after the show ends at 10 p.m.
There are three ways to vote.
- Toll-free voting: Each contestant will be assigned his or her own toll-free number during the performance show. To vote, simply dial the telephone number of the contestant for whom you wish to vote.
- AT&T text voting: Each contestant will be assigned his or her own text message short code number. AT&T wireless customers may text the word 'VOTE' to the four-digit short code numbers promoted for each contestant. Only send the word 'VOTE' to the four-digit short code numbers you see on screen; you cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.
- (3) Online Voting: If you have a Facebook account, you can also vote online at www.AmericanIdol.com. If you do not already have a Facebook account, you will need to create one before being able to vote online for American idol.
