A Riverview woman was killed on U.S. 98 in Pasco County Aug. 5 at 10:05 p.m. when another car crossed the center of the road and struck the car she was driving.

Leslie C. Blanton, 56, of Riverview was killed in the crash. Also killed was were Joshua M. Brock, 22 of Dade City and his year-old passenger, Jason Brock.

Blanton's passenger, Michael W. Blanton, 53, of Riverview, sustained minor injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, for unknown reasons the Oldsmobile driven by Joshua Brock crossed the center of the roadway and drove directly into the path of Blanton's car. The impact caused Brock's car to rotate counter clockwise onto the north shoulder of U.S. 98, coming to rest in a wooded area where it burst into flames.

All three died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
