A Riverview man is facing six counts of sexual battery on a child under age 12 following his arrest Sept. 19 by the Hilllsborough County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, Jonathan Perreault, 27, of 9051 Egret Cove Circle, in the Pavilion neighborhood in Riverview, is accused of sexual battery on an unnamed girl between January 2010 and September 2012.

The child, who knows Perreault, told her mother that Perreault had
sexually assaulted her on several occasions. When the victim's mother confronted him, he admitted to the offenses.

Perreault was arrested at his home without incidence. He is being held at the Orient Road Jail. Bail has not been set.
