Presidential Poll: Which Wife's Speech Do You Like?

Michelle Obama and Ann Romney both delivered powerful speeches about their husbands during the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. Did either woman's speech sway your vote?

Just for fun, let's pretend that you had to vote for a presidential candidate based ONLY on a speech given by the candidate's wife.

After watching speeches delivered by Ann Romney at the Republican National Convention and Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention, which candidate would you choose?

Michelle Obama easily wins this contest. She and Barack have actually lived the American dream, lifting themselves up with the help of many others (to include the government).

Mitt and Ann lived the American fantasy, not the dream. Each was born into wealth and had the best of everything from the get-go. Ann's speech was good, but certainly not powerful. She could have improved it by having Mitt come out and join her in singing "What do the Simple Folk Do?" from Camelot.

Experience trumps conjecture.

You must drink a LOT to Kool-Aid, George - NOBODY started witha silver spoon in their mouth. And Michelle had the 'opportunity' to fine-tune her words AFTER hearing Ann. You are on the left, on drugs, or a simpleton.

Damn, Brian! I never would have said a thing on this subject had I realized what a rapier wit you would bring to the field of battle. You are amazing. I stand in awe of your analytical acumen and originality. Kool-aid? What a clever metaphor! C'mon. Be honest. Did you formulate that on your own or did you copy it? "Left, drugs, & simpleton?" Are those my only choices? Brilliant, Brian! Simply brilliant!

Ann Romney's speech was by far more real & heartfelt. Moochelle just wants more taxpayers dollars for vacations, and high living.

Ann Romney gave a good speech, was impressed with her confidence in her husband when she said he will suceed. Michelle Obama gave a great speech... her heartfelt examples of struggle really moved people. She by far gave the best speech.
Too bad people commentating here cant be civil and repectful without name calling.

Neither. They're both part of a paradigm designed to deny us choice and replace it merely with a false sense of choice. The two party political system in this country is a joke. The Republican and Democrat parties are both to blame for our tragic state of affairs, the R's for instigating it and the D's for becoming willing accomplices by not stopping it. You can keep your two party system. I'm writing in my own candidate and at least trying to make my vote REALLY count.

The falsehood that the Obama's struggled is just that. Obama was the grandson of a wealthy bank vice president and attended an elite high school Michelle also attended and elite school and both then attended Ivy league schools based on who knows what grades since the commoners are not privy to that information. Don't buy the dem fairy tale.

Your "success envy" (as Lord and Lady Romney so derisively call it) is showing. Perhaps if you defined your terms, e.g., "wealthy bank vice president" (what do you consider wealthy?) and named the "elite" schools which Barack and Michelle attended and the circumstances of their attendance, and listed the source(s) of your "information," your screed might at least appear to have some merit.

George I concur with your original Stance that Michelle Had the better "talk" with the citizens of the United States!!! Anyone that does not know how to use spell check when writing a rebuttal OR comment with hurling insults are in my opinion simple, under-educated and VERY Misguided.... the exact same people who will be looking for a handout after Romney and Ryan rip the rug from underneath their sub-par existence's. FACT CHECK (as we MUST do with Republicans....) Michelle Obama DID NOT attend an Elite High School it was a public school for Above average students..... Barack went to a Prep school on a SCHOLORSHIP!!! please check yourself before you spread silly lies!!!
