FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL REPTILE SHOW
WHERE/WHEN: Repticon Tampa is taking place at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHY GO: Vendors will be on hand offering reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages and merchandise. Attendees can participate in free drawings, animal seminars and kids' activities. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 12. For more information, visit the event website.
WHERE/WHEN: On Friday, June 22, the Brandon Service League will host Lee's Bunco Babes for Brandon at the Masonic Lodge, 203 N. Moon Ave., Brandon, at 7 p.m.
WHY GO: This is a fundraiser for Lee Elam's campaign for honorary mayor of Brandon. Admission is $20. Contact Zana Turner at 813-689-1404.
WHERE/WHEN: On Saturday, June 23, the Emergency Care Help Organization will host a Putt-Putt Tournament at Ace Range in Riverview, 12910 Boyette Rd.
WHY GO: This is another fundraiser for Lee Elam's campaign for honorary mayor of Brandon. The cost is $60 per golfer and includes lunch from Chick-fil-A at Lake Brandon Village. To register, call Randy Olinger at 813-778-1874.
MALENKO MEMORIAL CUP
WHERE/WHEN: The third annual Boris "The Great" Malenko Memorial Cup will take place Sunday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at the DWI Arena at the Riverview Flea Market, 7415 U.S. 301 S., Riverview.
WHY GO: The event include the Malenko Alumni Battle Royal, featuring referee Frankie Reyes in his final match after 30 years in the business. In addition, Lightning Monroe will go up against Joe Malenko for the Boris Malenko Memorial Brass Knucks Trophy. The guest emcee will be "Mr Hollywood" Shannon Rose. Tickets are $5. WHERE/WHEN: On Saturday, June 23, the Brandon Family YMCA, 3097 S. Kingsway Rd., Seffner, will host a Corporate and Family Fitness Challenge.
WHY GO: This is a fundraiser for Gay Lynn Love's bid for honorary mayor of Brandon. The event, starting at 6 p.m., will bring companies throughout the area together for some competitive play followed by a social hour with food and drinks.
