If you're fond of chocolate and wine, then this is an event for you.

The Floridian Fighting Flamingos are hosting "Help Put a Cork in Cancer with a Pairing of Wine and Chocolate."

The fundraiser will take place Friday, July 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Original Leena's Chocolates, 1048 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico.

The Floridian Fighting Flamingos is a group of women who will walk 60 miles this fall in the annual Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure to raise funds for breast cancer research and patients.

Michelle Warner is the captain of the Floridian Fighting Flamingos.

"This will be my fourth year participating in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day and, for the rest of the team, this will be their first year," said Warner.

In addition to chocolates from The Original Leena's Chocolates, Cork & Olive will be on hand with a variety of wines for a wine tasting.

The event also will include a silent auction and raffle.

All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen 3 Day.
